Our business history
Our company started in 1999 as "Gemmanna Stamps". To reflect our on-line presence and make us easier to find, we changed our name in 2000 to carvedstamps.com.
About our staff
Stamps are designed, hand carved and made by Elaine Woodhouse. Now a resident of Seattle, Washington she studied art, specifically printing techniques, in Yorkshire England. Since moving to the States in 1982 she has been a teacher and has exhibited a variety of artwork in local galleries.
Are we an "Angel" company?
We are an "angel" company. Permission is granted for unlimited use of our rubber stamps for reasons personal or commercial as long as each image is individually hand-stamped by the selling artist and not reproduced or copied in any form by any means graphic, electronic, or mechanical, including photocopying. Reproduction or alteration of any image directly from our catalog, publications or web site, by mechanical means or other, is strictly prohibited. All images are copyrighted by Elaine Woodhouse and Gemmanna Stamps.
What makes us unique
We do not purchase and resell stamps from other companies. All our stamps are designed by us. You will find they have a distinct syle all of their own!
