Elaine Woodhouse earned her degree in England majoring in Early Childhood Education, with a minor in Fine and Applied Arts. Since moving to the United States in 1982 she has pursued her career as an art instructor, demonstrator and author, with several television appearances. Elaine is well known locally and nationally as a metal artist and instructor. She is the owner of Carvedstamps.com, a Seattle based company specializing in metal embossing products and art instruction. She is presently teaching children’s art classes on a regular basis in Seattle public schools, as well as private schools in Washington State.
Elaine’s teaching philosophy is based on her strong belief that creativity and confidence are fostered in a non-judgmental environment that supports, encourages, and appreciates difference and diversity.
